Although we do not usually plug books on this site – this
one is well worth plugging……..
It is, I have to say, written by two old friends of
mine and should be mandatory reading for anyone working with, or planning
to work with, victims of crime.
It is not heavy going, mawkish or drivel – what
it is, is beautifully written and both bitingly honest and a serious
condemnation of the justice system pertaining to victims in this country.
With a foreword by Terry Waite – because he
once met the young man at the heart of the book rather than because he
writes lots of forewords.
Putting
Victims at the Heart of the Justice System? Don’t make me laugh……….
